Chargers Shoot Season-Low, Post 4 Top-10s at IC Women’s Preview

All four members of the Carl Sandburg College women’s golf team posted top-10 finishes in the Illinois College Women’s Preview on Saturday at the Links at Jacksonville.
Averi Heintzelman (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) led Sandburg with a 94 to place seventh, and Elizabeth Whitford (Dahinda, Ill./Galva) was right behind in eighth place with a 95. Kelli Kennedy (Henry, Ill./Henry-Senachwine) and Rylee Liles (Hennepin, Ill./Putnam County) each tied for ninth with a 97.
The Chargers shot a season-low 383 to take second as a team behind Iowa Wesleyan (369). Monmouth’s Morgan Bemis was medalist with a 79.
